DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO SARAJEVO
Arrival to Sarajevo. Accommodation at a hotel, with a guide.
DAY 2: SARAJEVO OLIMPIC TOUR
Second day is reserved for the Sarajevo olimpic tour. You'll have the opportunity to see the mountains of Sarajevo: Bjelašnica and Igman and after that we're going to visit Vrelo Bosne, the spring of the river Bosnia.
Bjelašnica is a mountain in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is found directly to the southwest of Sarajevo, bordering the Igman mountain. During the 1984 Winter Olympics, Bjelašnica hosted the men’s alpine skiing events. At the end you'll have the opportunity to see Sarajevo Old Town and try some bosnian food.
Back to hotel. Overnight in the hotel.
DAY 3: SARAJEVO - PROZOR (RAMSKO LAKE)
Ramsko lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is in the north of Herzegovina. Prozor and Ramsko lake are the northernmost points in Herzegovina. The gorgeous Ramsko lake dominates the entire area. In the middle of the lake lies Šćit Island with the Franciscan monastery.
After Ramsko lake we're going to Konjic. It is the municipality in northern Herzegovina. The municipality extends on both sides of the River Neretva, while the town of Konjic houses about one-third of the municipality’s population. The city is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia, dating back almost 4,000 years. In Konjic we'll have free time for lunch.
Back to Sarajevo. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4: BLAGAJ (BUNA) - MOSTAR
This day we are moving to Mostar, where we can see Old Tsar vineyards and magnificent valleys full of fruit trees. Further away, we arrive at our main destination point, the small town of Blagaj. Blagaj Tekija is considered to be the one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most holy and ancient sites. The stunning half-timbered tekija rests beside the fast-flowing blue green Buna River, which spills out of a darkened cliff-cave. Time for taking picture. Then we're going to Mostar, the largest and one of the most important cities in the Herzegovina region. It is situated on the Neretva river and is the fifth-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (natively: mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. Back to Sarajevo. Overnight.
DAY 5: POČITELJ - KRAVICE WATERFALLS
On your way to Kravice waterfalls, you’ll pass a medieval town Počitelj with a nice castle ruin and steep cobblestone streets. It was bombed during the war but mostly repaired after. It’s worth the stop.
The historic site of Počitelj is located on the left bank of the river Neretva. Počitelj now appears on the list of 100 most endangered cultural heritage sites. It is predominantly characterized by Oriental construction styles and the Mediterranean style blend which give this town a special dimension. It's also interesting and well-known as host of the art colony with the longest tradition in southeastern Europe.
Kravice Waterfalls are placed in the Studenci, on the river Trebižat, some 10 km from the town of Ljubuški, on the way to Čapljina. It is protected by BiH as a natural rarity. The waterfalls have two opposite faces – the summer calm and winter wild. Free time for lunch.
Back to Sarajevo. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6: BIJAMBARE - AJDINOVIĆI - KULIN DVOR
Bijambare speleological area is a protected natural site located northeast of Sarajevo. Bijambare Caves are a speleological complex surrounded by thick conifer forest, two brooks, small lakes, several springs and a great variety of mushrooms, medicinal herbs and some rare endemic species.
Ajdinovići is known as genuine and untouched natural environment, with fresh air and pine forest. Ajdinovići is 46 km away from Sarajevo through the landscape of the Nišići Plateau towards.
Free time for lunch at Kulin Dvor restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7: JAJCE WATERFALLS - TRAVNIK (TURBE)
We continue to Jajce. It is a town built in the 14th century, located in a valley and watched over by a fascinating Roman Fortress. During those times it was the capital of the Independent Kingdom of Bosnia. The most famous site of Jajce is the river Pliva Waterfall. Here we're going to have a lunch break.
After the break we'll visit Travnik, known as the Ottoman Vizier town. We will see the colorful mosque of Sultan Suleiman and pass on to the Vizier Tombs, known as the Ottoman Turbe and a Picturesque Cemetery. Then we’ll walk up the hill to see the Travnik Fortress. You will see an uphill trail which leads up to the mount Vlašić. Free time for lunch.
Back to Sarajevo. Check-in at the hotel.
DAY 8: FREE DAY - GOODBYE SARAJEVO¨!
Breakfast. Check-out from the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
